The last summer month will come soon, and autumn will come after it – time to take your beloved four-legged friend with you and go into the forest for a “quiet hunt”. Going into the woods, a person may well protect himself from the bite of a poisonous snake, wearing tight pants and rubber boots, but how to protect his pet from meeting dangerous forest dwellers?
The most common type of poisonous snake in the central zone of Russia is the common viper. More common are individuals of silver or brown color with a darker diamond pattern along the entire back. Less common instances are completely black. The venom of the viper has hemorrhagic, hemocoagulating and necrotizing effects. Continue reading
